Using test funds
Using test funds
From November 3 through November 17, all payments on TipCi will use test funds. You can try offers, bids, and tips without spending real money. This gives you a chance to get comfortable with how payments work and helps us find anything that needs attention before real payments begin.

Test funds stand in for real money while you explore the platform. When you send a tip or pay for help, no real money moves between you and another member. The amounts are there so you can go through the experience and understand how it works.

Post an offer for something you need help with, respond to another member with a bid, or send a tip for a useful contribution. These are practice transactions, so make sure anyone you’re working with understands that the payment uses test funds.

Any payment amounts or earnings shown during this period are for testing. They don’t represent money you’ve earned or funds you can withdraw. Receiving a $50 test tip, for example, lets you experience receiving a payment, but it doesn’t give you $50 in real money.

As you try things, notice whether it’s clear who you’re paying, how much you’re sending, and whether the payment went through. If something looks wrong or leaves you unsure, report a bug or share feedback through Help & support. Knowing where you got stuck helps us improve the experience.
